Hair Care:

Hair is a remarkably tough material. It can stand up to considerable abuse, but over time your hair gets damaged or loses its natural properties, so that it breaks easily and cannot be styled satisfactorily.

People having long hairs suffer from a very common problem, i.e. hair breakage, usually seen as shorter, fly-away strands, or split ends. The process of hair fall continues from the moment you wake up to the time you go to sleep and even as you sleep, there are many factors that can lead to hair breakage. The main reason for this hair fall or breakage is - poor hair care and maintenance. Some of poor hair care techniques include - improper brushing and washing and infrequent trimming. Lifestyle factors, such as poor nutrition, stress and even restless sleeping can also lead to hair damage.

Do's & Dont's for Healthy Hair:-

  • Choose brushes and combs with widely spaced and smooth tipped bristles and teeth to avoid the risk of splitting hairs and scratching the scalp.

  • When you dry your hair, do remember that hot air can be damaging to your hair so when using a hair dryer use the cool setting.
  • Always rinse your hair thoroughly after applying a hair shampoo.
  • Don't leave the blowdryer in one spot for more than a few seconds, keep it moving and at a good distance away from your hair.
  • You should also wash your combs and brushes in shampoo or soap at least once a week.
  • If you go for swimming, then before entering the pool, wet your hair so your hair will soak up the initial water instead of the chlorinated water. Prefer wearing a hair cap when going for swimming.
  • Use a conditioner to smooth the outer surface of the hair, which is roughened by washing.

Some Hair Care Tips:

Some of the Great Tips for Keeping your Hair healthly and look beautiful are:-

Hair Care Routine: An effective hair-care involves cleansing, toning and conditioning routines carried out regularly.

Castol Oil: It is better to apply castor oil for a healthy growth of hair.

Accept your hair for what it is: If your hair is thin, wavy, curly or stick straight, try to accept the fact and don't be embarresed and torture your hair by using strong chemicals that may damage it just to straighten it or curl it. If you have already decided that your will be changing your hair style, make the changes as kindly as possible to your hair. Condition your hair before you straighten or perm it and make sure that you use the best products and get the best advice for your hair.

Tea: Wash hair with tea once in a week.

Proper Hair Care Products: An another aspect of proper hair care is the use of proper hair-care products and proper hair care techniques. Different types of hair need different hair-care products. The use of wrong products for hair care may even damage your hair permanently.

Besan: Apply besan in the hair and wash it with water drained from the cooked rice.

Hair Toning and Massage: After cleansing, the scalp and hair need toning exercise.  The toning of scalp and hair is achieved by gently massaging the head. This helps in stimulating and invigorating the blood circulation required for the healthy growth of hair.

Gooseberry: Soak a handful of gooseberry in a cup of milk for two hours. Make it as a paste and apply it on your hair.

Maintain your hair with pride and consistency. Depending on the length and style, have it trimmed appropriately. If you wear your hair short, have the style refreshed every 3-4 weeks. If you are growing your hair longer, have it trimmed every 6-8 weeks to remove split ends.

Coconut Oil Massage: Massage hair with warm coconut oil an hour before washing with a hair shampoo. Let it soak. Cover your head with a hot towel and wash your hair after an hour or so.

Apply the mixture of an egg white, 2 spoon of castor oil, 1 spoon glycerin, in the scalp and hair. Wash it after some time.

Love your Hair: This may sound obvious, but it often isn't to a lot of people. Hair has energy and spirit just like every other part of your body and it responds better to kindness and love than neglect and anger. If you hate your hair and ignore it, it will be like a flower to which no water is given. It will wilt and die. Show your hair total love and respect and it will blossom and grow and be beautiful.

Hibiscus Flowers: Boil a few hibiscus flowers in coconut oil. Filter and use this hair oil to control hair loss and thinning.
