Laser Dermabrasion:

Laser dermabrasion is also known as laser resurfacing. The laser resurfacing is mainly done with the help of CO2 laser, which emit shorter, more controlled super pulses for precision perforrmance.

Laser treatments have also been developed to help eradicate the scars that often linger long after the acne itself is gone. The most widely practiced of these laser techniques is known as dermabrasion. It consists of using a fine laser to remove the top layer of skin, thereby forcing a fresh, smooth layer to regenerate in its place.

Dermabrasion can offer hope to patients who were certain that they were scarred for life. Laser dermabrasion rejuvenates the skin by removing layers of old skin and scar tissues. The basics of laser dermabrasion lie in the use of the laser beam to penetrate the upper layers of the skin, and destroy old cells.

While laser resurfacing may be a potent approach to skin renewal, the results are generally quite dramatic and long lasting. Laser resurfacing appears to achieve its best results as a spot treatment. Patients expecting complete elimination of their wrinkles will not be satisfied. Ask to see before and after pictures of other clients. After all it is your face, if they can't make you comfortable with them find someone else.

Laser resurfacing is a method for Laser Acne Scar Treatment. It involves the use of laser for removal of old skin so new skin can form in it's place. There are two types of laser most commonly used: Carbon dioxide and Erbium.

CO2 laser:

A carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used to remove areas of skin, layer by layer. The procedure aims to smooth the wrikled or damaged skin by removing the damaged layers. This is a procedure that can be performed on parts of the face or the whole face. Occasionally laser dermabrasion is performed as a part of a set of plastic procedures aiming at renjuvenativ patient's look.

Laser skin resurfacing removes the initial layer of the skin to reveal healthier looking skin beneath. Generally, laser skin resurfacing combats facial wrinkling and treats pigmentation problems and acne scarring.

The laser dermabrasion is done by first stripping the outer layers of damaged skin and then, as the new cells form during the healing process, a smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin surface will appear making the area younger and tighter looking.

Erbium Laser:

The benefit of Erbium Laser Acne Resurfacing is minimal burning of surrounding tissue and more rapid recovery time.
